The Kipuwex Solution is a comprehensive patient monitoring system that combines wireless biosensor technology with individual and centralized monitoring interfaces. The Kipuwex biosensor is the heart of this system, enabling automatic and continuous physiological measurements – data are sent wirelessly to a Kipuwex Tablet.
Kipuwex is a medical device attached to a patient’s chest with a bridge and ECG-pads. It measures clinically important physiological parameters wirelessly and continuously. The physiological parameters can be monitored remotely anywhere and at any time with a mobile application.
The Kipuwex device is a battery-operated wearable device with integrated sensors and wireless transceiver, to record electrocardiography (ECG), heart rate, heart rate variability, R-R interval, respiratory rate, skin temperature, posture.
Download the Kipuwex application to your Android tablet. Attach the Kipuwex device to the patient’s chest. Connect the device to the application to access all the measurements and data. Measured data is shown on the Kipuwex mobile application. Data is presented as numbered values or on a graphic scale. Data is stored on mobile memory and can be accessed from the applications history charts.
Minimum requirements are Android 10 or higher. To achieve optimal view we recommend to use resolution: 1920 x 1200.
Removing chest hair: Shaving for men is required for optimizing device adhesion, maximizing signal quality and avoiding discomfort during removal.
Cleaning skin: The skin should be free from lotions and oils to maximize adhesion.
Handling: Take care not to touch the adhesive or hydrogel while applying the device; hold in the middle section of the biosensor that is free from adhesives while removing liners and positioning the device for application. Do not use isopropyl alcohol to clean skin prior to applying the Kipuwex device. Alcohol dries the skin, increases the possibility of skin irritation, and can diminish electrical flow.

48 hours after which it will cease to function. Stored data on the device can be transmitted before and after the device turns off. Kipuwex device’s life cycle is two years. The device battery life cycle is 2 years.
Battery needs to be recharged once the device indicates low battery by illuminating red LED light.
Patients may experience slight discomfort and/or itchiness as a result of wearing medical-grade hydrocolloid adhesives. If patients experience discomfort or irritation beyond mildly tolerated symptoms, the device should be removed from the patient immediately. If continued use of the device is desired, try applying it in another recommended location as it may be more comfortable for the patient. If the patient experiences an allergic reaction, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention if the condition does not improve in several days.
